10kg lost since end of February 2013. I can wear my old clothes again. I think I must have been this weight when I first came back to Singapore/Malaysia after living in the States for close to 2 years. I'd have gained 10kg in the close to 4 years that we've been back. Horror!! Malay/Indian food is fattening. Now that I'm calorie counting, I've found I practically can't eat the local food any more. A little serving of something comes up to 100 calories, it's just crazy.

It's a good thing I love hummus (w/o tahini, from Allrecipes.com) and chapati. I plan to eat these for dinner every day if I can help it. Vegetables/fruits only for lunch. Breakfast of course consist of an apple, a cup of coffe w/condensed milk (from the warong) and whatever. I don't plan to be too strict on breakfasts. Well I avoid the high calorie food but I'd eat a little bit if I feel like it.

Almost hit a bump on my road to healthy eating/losing massive weight the other day. My father remarked that there was no difference that he could see from my change of eating habits. He was surprised when I told him I already lost 10kg. I never expected support and encouragement but I didn't expect nasty discouraging remarks like that. I got mad and almost went home to binge out of resentment. Yeah, I can be childish like that. But lucky for me I refrained and carried on. Yay me!

So I always wear loose clothes. Maybe the weight loss is not apparent to the naked eye of the less sensitive. Yeah that must be it. My sister did say she could see the results in my face, it's less puffy. Yay, me! Heh.. But I know though cos I can now see my feet when I stand. My fingers are just a little puffy and not bloated like before, that had disturbed me most of all, those bloated fingers looking like rolls of quarters but with jelly/spongy-like consistency. Well come to think of it, that's what my belly was like too. There's way less belly now but the same spongy thing going on though. Hopefully that'll go. And I should do more toning exercises also.

My best friend (from high school) who lives in Texas now will be visiting in June. She was here in June last year. Didn't expect to see her back for a visit till June 2014. I'm really hoping I can get to a better weight by the time we meet up. My group of friends (we call ourselves Union of the Toads, thanks to Duran Duran's song plus something else with the toads that I can't remember) will be shocked when we have a reunion once my bff gets here (we do this every 2 years). Well, I hope they'd be shocked. They could be like my father and not notice any difference. Haha.. which could just mean they didn't remember how fat I was the last time we met! Right?! :)
