Well, I didn't exercise today. Feel a little guilty about that, but I exercised 5 days in a row so I took today off. I actually missed it - that is a definite first in my life. I felt like the day was "off" because I didn't workout. What is happening to me? :). I used to really be good at putting off exercise and now I actually see it as part of the daily routine, so I'll do a good workout tomorrow. A personal "goal" met yesterday - I used to try to jog/run at 4.5 on the treadmill for the length of one song on my iPod. Yesterday I was able to run for 3 songs in a row before I switched to power walking. I'm celebrating that!

Well, this is the first blog or journal online I have ever done. I have tried to lose weight for "years" but only on April 13th, 2010 did I become serious about it - serious to the point of making sure I am exercising and eating right daily. Have lost 8 pounds since then, so I'm excited as it has been 3 weeks since I started. I basically have just become tired of not liking myself. I feel like the "frumpy minivan Mom". I want to do something for me. I want to like shopping again. I want to give myself some time. I don't mean to sound selfish and love my children more than anything, but I really need to do this for me. I miss my pre-babies, pre-marriage body. I'd love to find it again :).
