I’ve been under a lot of stress this week. There’ve been numerous external issues that have been contributing to the decline of my mental health. This week has been the tip of the iceberg. While I’ve been still working out to try and maintain some semblance of normality, I haven’t been eating much - or well for that matter. Hopefully I’ll be able to get back on track soon.

So I haven’t been logging the last few days because it’s been a stressful week. A lot is going on at the moment and both my kids are having their birthday this weekend. So, as mum, I’m gonna be also extra busy planning for that and baking and grabbing all the snacks. I’ve outlined a regimen for myself starting Monday to start and complete all 60days of Shaun T’s Insanity. So I’m going to eat clean today, indulge but not overdo it tomorrow, cleanse on Sunday (no sugar foods, lots of greens and water, etc) and then officially start keeping myself accountable on Monday.

So doing some research has inspired me to double down on my efforts to break this plateau. I’ve put a plan in place. Unfortunately circumstances will be getting in the way today and tomorrow. But I’ve decided to put this plan in place beginning Sunday. Every two weeks I’ll weigh in and adjust accordingly. We shall see if it works. Wish me luck!

I’ve weighed in this morning and it’s official. I’ve hit the dreaded plateau. Mind you, I’m bad for weighing in every day, but it’s still disappointing not to see the scale move. The way I see it, it’s one of a few things: I’m not drinking enough water (admittedly I’ve not been drinking nearly as much as I should), I’ve only been actually consistent for the last two weeks so maybe it’s too early to tell, or maybe I’m eating too few calories. One thing I can’t stand is trial and error and unfortunately that’s what makes up the bulk of a weight loss journey. Hopefully I can figure out what’s up and break through the plateau. 🤔

I decided to throw in a Turbo Fire HIIT 30 workout and honestly, I haven’t done as well as I did today since before I had my kidlets! I surprised even myself. Last two days I went outside for an hour or two to play in the snow with the kids (since I’m one of those weirdos that lives for winter) so I counted that as exercise. In the meantime I’m watching my calories and I’ve been feeling great! It’s very motivating! Hopefully I can kick these last 40 pounds to the curb sooner than later.
