I won’t set the calories high for an “extra day” on only day 3 binge-free.
Less than 1,700 (estimated that is) it is! I have a plan.

I already have a meal plan for going out to dinner, but…OMG the restaurant clearly underestimates calories!!! I will overestimate some other things to make up for it.
I didn’t do so well this morning. Was it better than the past?
Yes, but it was the end result of, well, two days in a row binge-free so far at least, but lots of and lots of “at least” statements and “treats” that I said, “at least I used to consider them healthy,” and this morning I did even worse…bordering on a binge but nothing compared to even just weeks ago!
Yes I am still making progress…more excuses because the standards are higher, but the higher standards exceed the excuses, so—progress!!!
After all of this, let’s make today day three but just barely day three.

Let go of the temporary weight, weighed in the morning after breakfast so remembered earlier than usual but still should have done it before eating, but still gained a pound…permanently. It is not more than a pound because, well, healing from “exercise burnout” as I call it, does increase metabolism but not the way you want, and as a former lifter *years ago,* my reason for burnout is a poor lifestyle. Baby steps. Still progress.
I joke that I’m “cutting,” knowing what that means as a former lifter, except I’m reducing to a “cut” gradually because I love food, was a lifter *years ago,* and am cutting because I’ll be exercising in “moderation” according to doctors so a very lenient “moderation,” too little because I’m 27 and in good health.
Will I still maintain once I’m finally at the point of “cutting”? Of course, but not great for me, just better than not exercising at all, and better than gaining weight 😂sanity matters.

Stats today:
Realized that cutting back even gradually, but faster than I’m used to, could trigger a binge, so I decided I would have carbs again with dinner. Yes, my carbs are insane today, but as for calories—about 1,800 (give or take since I don’t weigh food). That is good.
If I only *burn* 1,500 or so, I’m in trouble—I need lots of activity, so if 1,800 leads to weight gain, I’m in trouble lol!
And yes I have gotten some walking in, around a nice park, in the warm, beautiful weather, but…haven’t gotten on the bike yet.
Day two binge-free. I ate 1,700 calories yesterday and 1,800 today. I will allow myself days to (just barely) eat too much, nothing crazy, clearly not 2,500 or more anymore now that I’m out of the “learning and mitigation “ phase lol. A reasonable day to allow too much may be once or twice a week, around 2,100 to 2,3000z

I had a morning of “early 2000s healthy eating” that no one would consider healthy today, healthier by today’s trends than actual junk food, but only a good idea if you are very active or moderately active and 17 years old lol.
The world has gotten more sedentary even if you exercise, and we can’t help it. I have just recently gotten to the point where, now that life outside of exercise doesn’t burn much, my metabolism can’t handle “early 2000s healthy.” But…no sugar at least other than a banana!!!!
Small win. And also, black coffee and mid morning unsweetened tea, not a drop of oat milk!!! Small wins even if I have to burn off my “early 2000s healthy” morning by counting steps mechanically to 5 digits *plus* an intense stationary bike ride like yesterday lol. 😂
