Mothers day was fun, but I threw my healthy eating right out the window enjoying the day with my family!!! BUT today is another day, making it a light one with water being my main goal. I need to rid the sodium out all the processed that I indulged in yesterday. I sent all of the left overs with the kids and grandkids. Including the corn on the cob that I completely forgot to get going. My little great grandson was asking his mom to cook it when they got home. Enough there for her for a couple of meals. I would of kept for myself, but not a good way to get back for now. Those little ones can afford the butter and seasonings more that I can. Anyway taking the high road attitude and sticking with this, including tracking everyday, regardless of what I ate.

Yesterday was another day of not getting my plan off the ground again, but better than the day before. I am not sure of the calorie count on my snacks, as I was cooking. Those are what I thought tasting amounts were. The carrot cake came from my daughter. I did take the frosting off. Today will be a busy day. Kids are coming for a planting party and BBQ AND celebrate Mom's day together. Should be fun. I just need to find a resolve to not over indulge when the food gets rolled out. BTW: I do think of this weekend as having some positives because I am still coming here to post my days.

My plan of a slow day here became a shopping day with my daughter. We went out looking for flowers for container gardens for her patio/balcony. Spent a bit of time at Menards and found a few annuals for her, as well as a couple of hardware items I have been wanting to get out for. We then traveled to a food market called Fresh Thyme. Somewhat like a Trader Joes or Whole Foods. I was able to pick up some nice looking fruit and vegetables there, as well as a few other things. After that she wanted to go to Starbucks for some kind of "happy hour" sale. I passed on having one. Not going to derail my mission on a mocha that I am not a big fan of in the first place. I did have some hummus on a pretzel stick bread thing when I got home. Not sure what the count on it was, but guessed it to be about half the size of a good sized pretzel bun. Found a count for that in the index, so that is what I went with. Glad I only bought one, as it was really good. The hummus was very good also. Going to finish that off this week as a snack with baby carrots. It is 7 now, so a light dinner of salad and cottage cheese for me and then off to bed.

Sunday, waking up to another beautiful day in MN. Another busy day yesterday. That tired me out and got me in bed early last night. No time to think about food, which is a good thing. I do have to cook an actual meal here for us. I haven't decided on what, but a couple of choices in the freezer, just have to decide whether beef, pork or chicken.
