I was sick last night. I woke up in pain and passed out on my kitchen floor. I was shaking, pale as a ghost and had an excruciating stomach ache. I ate some grape jello, thought my sugar level dropped too low. I started feeling better in about 20 min and was able to fall asleep again in about 1 hour. I woke up late this morning and was very weak. I had to do some shopping and ask my daughter to join me, because I was afraid I will pass out again. Everything went OK, just took us too long to do the shopping. We spent some time together and that was good, but I had quite a few samples at Costco and did not care much about carbs I ate. So I am off my diet today but will get back on it tomorrow. I don't know any particular steps to take if you want to get back on your diet, especially I am on 20 net carbs or less a day anyway. The phase 1 was supposed to be over on Tuesday, so I think I stick to it till end of the week and then will see. Of course I did not do my third weight training and hope I will be able to squeeze one more cardio workout tomorrow.

Day 9 on Atkins.
I am doing fine sticking to the diet and working out. I feel hungry sometimes during a day but I drink a glass of water and that goes away. I eat every three hours, simple food, not much preparation at all. I can't wait when I can jump my carbs, so I can eat more veggies. It's funny how with so little carbs my taste buds are awake and everything tastes... better now. I started craving apples. They are my favorites and we always have apples at home for snacks. I can't deprive my family from all the goodies even if I can't have any. I don't crave chocolate or candy but would love to have some yogurt or nuts or fruit. For some reason I thought when you are on Atkins you don't have any cravings. Well, my weight is coming down and that is what important.
My sugar stays even through a day (I check it in the morning and before bed). I drink a lot of water (15 glasses today). My goal for this week is 200 min of cardio, at least 2000 Cal burned during cardio (2500 Cal even better), 3 weight trainings for a week, a 30 min walk 5-6 days a week and stay active as much as possible. I started doing some of my workouts in the morning. I feel less tired when I dont have to complite all at once late at night when all I want to do is to go to bed. Knowning that I have to do just 30 min of cardio or a weight training only helps me get to the gym and then I can choose the intensity of my workout to meet my needs. I take one rest day a week when I dont do any training, one day I just walk on a treadmill with little incline at a comfortable speed and the rest days the intensity must be high.

Day 5 on Atkins (yesterday) was very busy. I did not have time to eat, and was tempted to grab whatever was available at that moment to just eat. I was able to resist the temptations and sticked to my diet, even though I did not eat much. I went to the gym and weighted myself and lost only 0.2 lb. I was kind of disappointed but as long as I am losing weight I am fine. I did a very intense cardio workout, went to a park for a walk, went shopping and was babysitting till midnight for my friends. No wonder I was tired.
I slept in today and had my breakfast late, so I think I will skip one snack and have only 4 meals today. I measured my veggies already and my chicken is cooked, so I will need to cook only the pork loin I planned for dinner.
My fasting sugar yesterday was perfect - 101, today it was 114, still OK but I dont understand those jumps if I barely eat carbs. Anyway I want to go to the gym to see my new weight :))
