Losing 0.6 kg a Week
27 May 2009
I am very excited about my recent weight loss, but I have been feeling very sluggish lately. I skipped all but 1 class yesterday to go take a nap, and even after that 3 hour nap, I had to DRAG myself off the couch to walk my client's dog. Then we walked for a few minutes before I decided to crash on a park bench. I did do my 5k training in the evening, but I cut it a bit short (just the cool down) because I ran into some other dogs that wanted to play with the dog I was walking.
Today I took the kids I watch for a walk to the park right down the street and the walk back (all up a slight hill) seemed to drain me. I don't understand why I am so run down! I'm glad I've still been able to push myself to go jogging and stuff, but I'm sick of always feeling like I need a nap! I stayed up till 2am a few nights ago, but I've gotten a decent amount of sleep since then, so i shouldn't bee this slow! It's very frustrating.
I've also been feeling very snacky lately. Usually I'm fine if I just have a small snack a few hours after each meal, but lately I just seem to be craving snacks 24/7. I have resisted enough to stay within my points, but I still want to control them better.
On the bright side, I've eating lots of veggie sushi lately. It's healthy, and VERY low in points, so I can can eat larger portions and stay within my points. It's a life saver!

I'm soooo happy! I was really starting to feel discouraged. The scale actually went up to 199.8 for most of the week and no matter what I did it just woudln't go away. Some how I did it though! I weighed myself 3 times because I was so shocked. I'm so happy! This gives me the motivation I needed to keep fighting for my goal!

Losing 1.0 kg a Week
24 May 2009
After rereading the running program instructions I've decided to stick with the week 2 work out for a few more days. If I feel I can do more, I'm going to increase my speed a bit rather than skip to the next week's work out, which lengthens the time spent jogging. So tomorrow I will do a faster jog/slower run to get the maximum benefit form the work out and I will move on to the week 3 work out later next week.

Despite my snacking today, I didn't let myself fall off the wagon completely. Normally when I try to go on a diet and break it one day I either blow off the diet completely or say screw it for the rest of the day and eat like a pig. Not today! As I mentioned in my last entry, I snacked a lot at dinner, but since that filled me up I didn't eat anything else, nor will I for the rest of the night. Also, I didn't let up on my workout. In fact, I bumped it up a notch and started the second level of 5K training. 5 minutes of brisk walking to warm up, then alternating between 90 seconds of walking and 2 minutes of walking. I do that for 20 minutes and then walk for another 5 minutes to cool down. It was more work than the last phase of training, but I still feel very energetic by the end of it. I don't feel like I've worked hard enough. Should I keep with it for another week, or skip to the next level?
Also, I didn't snack at all at my boyfriends house. They had a big party tonight with lots of food and drinks. I've been waiting to let loose all month, waiting for school to end and wanting to party. This was my chance, but I didn't because I know the drinks would have just added to my bad points. So no drinks for me. Instead I laughed at the drunk people lol.
