Crazy busy weekend!!! I know that I kept my carbs within 20 and I'm just too tired to sit and guess at what I ate at the moment so I'm skipping the food diary for the weekend. I have some ketone stips and they are a nice pink color. I don't know how accurate these actually are. Hopefully I can research these a bit more. To see them pink sure is motivating though!! I did not get any walks (other than grocery shopping) or Gazelle time. I did however work nonstop except for sitting for meals. It's back to the grind tomorrow now with the logging and excercise.

More than 15 of my carbs came from veggies today!! That is good ;o) Now...I don't have enough calories, I'm not hungry though. Yet another reason I love Atkins! Once you are in induction you have to force yourself to eat. No feelings of starvation. I'm going to have to eat some more chicken or protien for a snack later on so I can hit 1200 calories. Bad news if you fall below :o(
1302 Calories - I forced down some more chicken and then remembered a sausage that I picked at this morn ;o)

Over the last 2 days I have decreased my carb intake. I like Atkins mainly because my body does crappy with starch period...it just works for me. I do need to get the latest book. It is a updated version, supposedly more "healthy" than the older books. My guess is with the newer studies on fats they are adding more pressure towards lean fats and adding in healthy oils somewhere. I am anxious to see. What most people think of is "bacon and Eggs" and no carbs when they hear Atkin's, they are misinformed. There is a science behind low carb eating and I think my body is proof of the worst case senario when this is ignored. Anywhoo...getting those carbs down and watching calories more this time around. In the past I stayed on induction over the reccomended 2 weeks...I tend to fall off the wagon then. This time I'm jumping up to phase 2 after 2 weeks of 20 carbs...not at 20 carbs yet...easing into that this time as well too. Once into Induction I will have alot more energy...this I know for sure. Then I will focus more on getting into more strenuous workouts. Easing into everything this time!! I have to stick with it!! ;o)
