I'm going to try a couple of things I read about recently to help with my weight loss journey. The first is not weighing my self daily. I'll weight myself just on Mondays. That should help with the up and down emotions that go with daily weight fluctuations. The second is alternating my calorie in take daily to help avoid plateaus. I'm going between 1500 one day, 1000 the next, etc. Also I'm open to suggestions. I have to keep seeing weight loss or I will give up. Like I've done soooooo many times in the past.

My lunch was 861 calories so I still have 600+ calories left before I meet my 1500 cal goal.

Since I'm eating so late, I upped my calories. Basically a double portion. My version of a taco bowl. I didn't end up eating the chips. I used the pepper slices as scoops.

Today I hate everyone and everything...including myself. I'm still in bed at 1PM because I know if I get up to eat, I'm going to binge eat my frustration. logically I know weight loss has ups and downs and plateaus, but emotionally I feel like a failure for gaining 1 lb. I have a super unhealthy relationship with food and myself and that's on of the cycles I'm trying to undo this go round. But damn, I tired fighting already. I need a day where I'm not obsessed with every aspect of my food intake. I'm tired.

Gaining 2.9 kg a Week

Here's a little background info on what brought me here. My weight had hit an all time high at 297. I went to my ENT for an unrelated problem and he tested for and diagnosed me with hypothyroidism. Almost immediately after starting the meds I dropped 13 lbs in 2 weeks. Most was water weight, but it gave me the push I needed to start making small changes to the way I eat. Then 2 weeks later I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and that was a bright light wake up call. I immediately went on a low glycemic index diet and have lost an additional 7 lbs. The weight loss is slow, but steady and that's what I'm going for. My next step is adding exercise back into my life. I exercised daily for 3 yrs with no results. I was always exhausted and I continued to gain weight. I know now this was because of the hypothyroidism. I started at 297 and my goal weight is 180. I'm giving myself 18 months to accomplish it and I'm taking y'all along for the ride.
