1st day @ work today with the new eat/exercise/life plan. It went great! Stayed busy, no time for snacking, except my planned snacks. Brought soup from home (canned, but I like that it's measured for me). They had salmon with risotto & California vegetable medley, one of my newly discovered faves, but I stuck to my soup. :( I just forgot to check what was on the menu & didn't sign up for lunch. Maybe next time....I can always skip the risotto & ask for extra veggies! On the plus side, staying busy means lots of moving around. I'm working this weekend, so I'll be moving around A LOT!!!! Great way to start my 1st week!!

Day 1, or the first step of new journey. I know I am the one who determines where my path leads and, to some degree, how long it takes for me to get there. Having done this before, I'm aware that keeping a food/exercise journal helps keep me accountable. I'm in health care, so I see the long term effects of obesity every day. I'm not looking to be celebrity or super model skinny. I want to be healthy, for my kids, my husband, my grandchildren, but most of all, for me.
