Well, this is a surprise. Still water obviously (how much was/am I retaining?) but I nevertheless stayed the course with my eating.
The weekend is likely to be tougher. I have a get together tonight that will be filled with junk. On the upside, I am driving so I have a built in excuse to drink water all night. I guess my strategy for food will be twofold. Eat a large and healthy lunch plus a filling snack before we head out. It will make it easier to make the best choices if I am satisfied when I arrive.
Definitely need to up my exercise game. I'm doing the minimum and that just isn't going to cut it. Will need to find the energy and resolve to increase that.
Right then. Off to hockey and get my Saturday rolling.

As expected, up 0.5lb this morning. Breakfast was en pointe, here is where I don't 'give in, give up' which is my usual MO.
Reminding myself of my first goal: 163 by Christmas 5lbs only! I can achieve this!.
Will push the water today, get my 20 minutes (minimum) of activity and plan the weekend eating that will leave me with good choices.

Uh oh. Danger zone here. Maybe I should be happy that I have 'shed' 3 pounds in a day. But I know better. Obviously water (and a lot of it) but the downside is when I weigh in tomorrow,
and I haven't shed 3 more pounds
, the despair will set in.
Like it is reasonable to shed 3 pounds a day. *shaking my own head*
So today's goal is to stay the course. Eat all of my food, drink all of my water, find my 20 minutes of activity and let the chips (haha) fall where they may.
I need resilience. I need to find it within myself to push forward consistently and not let every victory (?) or failure (see how I expect myself to fail even before it's happened) run me right off my course.
Tomorrow I will weigh in. But today I will do what is within my power to make healthy choices.

I had a few kids over the other day. For an activity, I weighed and measured each kids' height and then recorded it on a graph showing age as well.
When they weren't looking, I weighed myself. I was 175lbs. The only time I've ever weighed that much is when I was pregnant (very pregnant). The feeling of failure and depression when I saw that number was palpable.
I wallowed for a few days and then decided enough. I've started an Atkins-like plan (severely reducing carbs/sugar) and as of this morning weigh 171lbs. My ultimate goal is 140lbs. My interim goal is 163lbs by Christmas. My second interim goal is 150lbs by March 4 -- that is the date we leave for a trip south where bathing suits will be required.
While weight loss and personal image is important to me, I am hopeful that dropping this weight will drive some energy back into my life. I am incredibly lazy as of late. Sitting, lying down the vast majority of my day.
To that end I will endeavour to add exercise of some kind daily. 20 minutes of something has got to be better than 24 hours of nothing.
Here we go...............
