Been learning to not be scared of food but be cognizant of what I'm putting in my body, and how much. So many years I use to say to myself -- it's vacation. Enjoy! Then dread he scale and claim, pesky vacation weight We went on a beach vacation few weeks ago. Lots of junk options. We ate clean most of the time, but will admit may have had a beer few drinks some days. Heck one day I even ate two slices of pizza. Oh gosh! When I came back from trip I was surprised to still have lost weight. How did I do it? I did it in moderation. If I drank a beer or two. Well that was my indulgence for day. If I chose to eat pizza, then well rest of day was balanced and clean. Plenty of water. Bought groceries and plenty of greens to keep me full, and I did things like stayed active. Walked. Ran. Even some basic body exercises in beach. First time am I not only glad scaled did not go opposite way. But happy that I could indulge in moderation.

My last journal entry was Jan 15 of last year. Time flies. But glad to be on here to reflect where I am now. Both my dad and dog passed away. And was happy to see that I did not get into binge/comfort eating. Weight has come down a bit. Success! Beginning of year I was gymming quite a bit and the scale didn't budge. Guess what? I thought I was eating clean. But treat here and treat there added up. I did experiment with Keto after September. I didn't go to gym much and was happily surprised with weight coming down without much effort. By December i was on a modified keto. Basically i really was conscious about carbs and sugars but not trying to consume as much fat as they prescribe. Here I am in January. I still use the concepts of keto, but I'm working out three times a week and feel pretty good. I see the stretchy skin revealing and I"m like man I use to be big. My goal this year is to keep losing as much weight as I can. Not to get discouraged of plateau's and to ensure I'm not feeling deprived.
