Had a blast making this yesterday since I MISS making so many old favorites. Heard this rumor that radishes are very close to taters when cooked/roasted. Really? ok.. sure..yeah..right. Lo and behold, the little puppies do and certainly would cure a craving for some old fashion southern tater salad during my weight loss journey. Going to head to the Asian market for some daikon...

I was just thinking how I reached a goal and forgot! In 1989, my father passed away and I tried to remember so much about the day he died. One thing was my weight - cause I always had a weight problem and strangely it was one of the ways I marked his passing - trying not to forget him and a lot of other things that day. Well, my weight was 222 lbs. (I'm smiling). Woo-hoo, passed that weight!
Today, I remembered another weight.. in 1998 I had surgery and I remember hearing the nurse say as she read my chart, "Ms. Smith you weigh 209 lbs". That was the closest I'd been to reaching maybe under 200 lbs. I hadn't been under 200 lbs since high school (more like 165-175lbs - considered HUGH at the time, yeah..right!).
So my new goal: 209 lbs - I'm just 6 lbs away..wow. And, I didnt' have to get sick to reach it!

Good! Been used elliptical three times this week 30-40 mins. Going to add two more days to 5. Good progress. I'm happy with what I'm eating, feeling good about that. Going to be by 10 pm. Got my eye mask to keep the light out until I wake naturally at 8 pm. I'm feeling good.... I was surprised about the scale - the HIGI machine at Rite Aid pharmacy. I don't have a scale at home. It tracks me too. I will be weighing every Saturday for the next 4 weeks only. Just to monitor myself..

Got on the scale yesterday and my weight dropped. Musta been water or something before. So I'm putting it back to 218.
