I'm getting a new gym. There's a gym less than a mile from my house that used to be less than desired; out of date, poor equipment, $20 a month, only opened on staffed hours. It was much better to drive the 10 miles to my gym that was open 24 hours, had awesome equipment, etc. However, the secretary of my apartment and I were talking about this other place the other day, and she said they totally remodeled, added a bunch of new equipment, made it a 24 hour, lowered the price to 14 bucks, added in free fitness classes AND just scored a new deal with my apartment complex to give six months free membership to tennants!

So, you're telling me I can run to the gym, use less gas, be in a brand new facility, USE A STAIRSTEPPER (I MISS STAIRSTEPPERS SO MUCH, THEY ARE MY FAVORITE), take FREE Zumba on Tuesday nights AND pay nothing?

Well, shooooot. Now to just break the news to my current gym.

For serious, though, really excited about that Zumba. I don't know exactly what it is but everyone says how fun it is, how much of a challenge it is, and how much ass it kicks. I hear it also incorporates a bunch of dancing, which I'm really excited for. I need to get dance back in my life. It was gone far, far too long.

I wonder if they have staffed hours tomorrow. I might jog there as my warm up and get an account! :D

Since I'm so close to my 120s it's time to start looking at outfits I can't wear now but with a little bit more effort, I totally can. Last fall I bought two pairs of corduroy skinnies from the Gap, a grand total of $120 in things I couldn't wear. Last Friday the guy I was dating was curious about them (he spied the tomato red of one pair sticking out of the demin of my other jeans) and had me try them on...so close! That inspired me to start looking at other things.

My newest one is this WICKED AWESOME skirt I found at an online designer store. I wish we could post links to this site! It's so hard to describe. It's a frayed-bottom, high-waisted neon red mini skirt with a black acid wash (yeah, it's intense). The model was wearing black nylons with thigh high black socks and some killer black booties...and now I want to copy that outfit. I think I'm going to buy the size 4 so I can fit into it soon (I'm gonna say within the next three or four weeks!) and even as I lose my weight the 4 won't be huge; the waist is a very 80s inspired elastic waist.

THIS...THIS is exciting to me. I can start thinking about skinny clothes. :D I mean, I'm going to have to change basically my whole wardrobe anyway because too many of my clothes will be large/stretched out, so I might as well start buying pieces here and there.

After this skirt? Oversized male-cut button down. Ya know, for that fashionable business-casual, wearing-your-boyfriend's-favorite-oxford look. I can buy one now that fits me perfectly and as I get smaller it gets that boyfriend look. :D

This time next week I want to be in the 120s. I'm sick of being in the 130s. Just dropping those two pounds will just make me feel better. It'll be more motivation, too.

I remember what I looked like about this time last year. I had an eight month period without significant illness or injury and I was up to running four miles and lifting heavier weights. I was at 125. I'd even just kill to be back there. I'd probably still be close if last August hadn't been so hard: Vegas was calorie ridden, and I lived with my aunt and uncle for three weeks, and they had no food I really liked to eat except the baked goods my aunt made every three days. I gained eight pounds in a month. That's why I'm at where I'm at now.

This week will be a toughy, especially since I don't plan on running this week and running really makes me shed the weight fast. It'll be basically all in what I eat.
