Don't be shocked by the weight loss...I just weighed myself on a different scale and on an empty stomach. I don't really think I've lost weight, in fact I KNOW I have not lost weight. But I have to admit, it is nice seeing a lower number, even if it's not entirely accurate.

Losing 3.2 kg a Week

I'm not really sure how fat secret is calculating my RDI. It says that even though my goal is losing a moderate amount of weight (>1 lb per week), I weigh 272 lbs, and I am pretty much sedentary (boo me) I should still be eating 2100 calories per day! Doesn't that number seem a bit high? I assumed I should be aiming for somewhere around 1500-1800...

Well so far I haven't done too bad in the "food" category. I am taking things slow, trying to keep from shocking my system, feeling deprived, and going on another binge. We shall see what the evening holds. Evenings are the most challenging for me when it comes to my willpower. Hope all is well with you, my friends.

I found out I have gained 100 lbs in the past 5 years. No, you didn't just read a typo. 100 POUNDS. I have tried so hard to lose weight in the past, but I only see the inches and the scale move up.
Several years ago I went on a near-starvation and hardcore exercise binge that lasted 6 months. I lost 107 lbs in 6 months, but I also landed in the hospital. I truly believe during that time I thought I was doing great, but I had in fact destroyed my metabolism. Now I feel like I gain weight much fast than the average person, and the fat cells I had shunk now work so desperately against me to fill back up to my starting point.
Now I am trying to focus on eating foods that nourish my body instead of foods that taste great for a moment then wreck my body.
Is it my overeating? Yes. Is it me eating foods high in fat and sugar? Yes. Is it my lack of willpower? Yes. Is it my laziness? Yes.Is it my metabolism? Maybe. I am frustrated to the point of tears.
Please understand I do not ask for pity. I only ask for encouragement from my fs friends to help me overcome whatever this is that is working so hard against me.

Why can't I pig out all weekend without gaining any weight? Surely those 7 pieces of greasy, cheesy pepporoni pizza I ate yesterday can't be that bad right?!? LOL. Live and learn. And mess up, then live and learn again ;)
