I've decided I'm going to attend an Overeaters Anonymous meeting. I think I need it. I'm discouraged to see no specific section of fatsecret dedicated to OA. Regardless, I searched the "diet" forums, and couldn't find any mention of it. If anyone reads this who has experience with OA, please let me know what you think.

Today's weigh-in was definitely frustrating. I've been weighing in every two weeks, figuring that'd be enough time to show any real changes. And overall, since the last weigh-in, I thought I was doing pretty good. I felt "lighter," for whatever that's worth. But as it turns out, things have pretty much stayed the same. I will admit that the middle part of last week (Tuesday - Thursday), I wasn't following anything even closely resembling a diet. But I didn't think those few days would throw things off that much. Guess it's time to start getting "more" serious, if that's possible. I had a good three-mile walk today, and I've also got my barbecue grill working, so that'll provide some more opportunities for cooking at home. Hopefully, I'll have better news at my next weigh-in.

As it is with most aspects of my life, I don't have much of a "diet plan." My hope is to figure out how to lead as healthy a lifestyle as possible, and it seems like strictly-defined diet plans don't really do that. I'm going to experiment with exercise and food every day, and see where I get. Recently, I've realized that I can no longer be in denial over soda. I love the stuff, but it really is the worst. Empty calories, refined sugar, etc. Before today's weigh-in, I thought maybe I could still continue to consume the stuff as normal, and simply off-set that intake through exercise. Well, I've been taking (on average) three-mile walks on a near-daily basis, and I've had no weight change. That means something's got to change in the diet, and soda is the obvious choice. I've managed to steer clear of it today, but who knows if I'll be able to do the same tomorrow? Oh, well. One day at a time, right?
