So I began my transformation about 6 months ago. I come from a family of cooks and bakers and the word "diet" makes me want to hang myself. I mean, what's the point of life if you can't enjoy those simple things like a slice of pizza or some chocolate? Oh, and I absolutely hate physical activity.
Giving up some products was easier than others. I started by eating ONLY healthy things, full of protein and good fats. Quickly I realized that eating very healthy also meant giving up some of the fruits I love and forget about sugary yums altogether. That wasn't what I wanted for myself.
So that day I decided to change my mindset, but not to give up on that pizza or cookie. My meals focus on protein packed foods, things that keep me full, healthy but don't make me feel heavy. And yet, I'll get a chocolate when I've got the cravings. I'll eat fruit and pizza with my friends polished by some carbolicious beer. I just maintain a healthy balance. I don't lose weight by the day, but during these 6 months (2 of them were spent in a hospital and didn't really care for my nutrition) I lost 11 pounds. Just on shaping my eating habits and doing zero sports.
Enjoy the small things in life. Even if that's a piece of cake 😂
