Well, I had my fun these last two weeks visiting with family and rocking out to my newest loves, Eye Empire (facebook.com/EyeEmpire), at their shows. Had some great times and made amazing memories, but now it's time to get back to work!

I haven't worked out in at least a week, and my diet has been rather poor filled with sodas, 5 hours energys, sporadic meals, and eating out.

I only lost .2 lbs (not counting the 4 since last weeks weight I attribute to a females monthly fluctuation), which is really good considering my diet. I am starting to feel comfortable with my body again and wearing shirts that show a little bit of my stomach like used to in high school, but have been ashamed to wear for years. It made me feel accomplished to be able to do that. 2 more months until my flat stomach goal! It's not so much about the weight goal, but the appearance - if I'm happy with it, the weight doesn't matter. Right now I'm setting a date of June 13th, my birthday, to reach my goal. Wish me luck!

I have been slacking a lot in every aspect of my life. My diet hasn't been stellar, and I haven't been working out nearly as much as I'd like; yet today I noticed a change in my appearance. I am FINALLY starting to lose in those trouble areas around my upper and lower abs and back. WOOO! There is hope for a flat stomach yet!

I need to get back to it, but have found it harder to work out with the lack of sleep I have been having. Always something preventing me from getting to bed on time, and always something waking me up early making me too tired to actually get out of bed, so I sleep in and miss on my work outs in the morning, and am too tired by the evening to partake in my bike ride or walks. It is a viscious cycle.

I've also noticed my muscles have been much more sore lately from the work outs I have been doing. Either I'm working harder and do not realize it, or lacking something in my diet. Maybe I will work on more protein after work outs. My yummy chocoalte peanut butter smoothie is calling my name.

Yesterday
Got in a Biggest Loser work out but that was all. Felt too tiredi n the evening for my 45 minute bike ride I wanted to complete.

Sleep
Bed last night: 1:00am by the time I actually fell asleep
Wake: 9:00am
Sleep Quality: Once I got to sleep it was good until about 8:00 or so when the dogs started going crazy because our friend was dropping off their dog we are babysitting. Had a hard time sleeping after that.
Feeling through out day: So far, not too bad. Not too tired, but not energetic and it is now 1:50pm. My crash usually comes around 3:00pm.

Today
Didn't get up in time for my Biggest Loser work out. Getting home around 3:30pm today and hopefully I can sneak in some form of work out, but I also have to clean and get ready to leave because tonight we are going to see Eye Empire. I will rock extra hard at the concert to burn some calories. ;)

Dad was in town this week so it made following a healthy very hard. When I weigh in saying I followed my diet "reasonably well" I do not mean I have strayed from my vegan diet, just from a low-fat vegan diet. My diet will always be vegan.

Dad likes to take me out to eat, a lot, so that puts a damper on it sometimes. Most of what I get is usually healthy when I eat out, minus the french fries I got for lunch one day. At home I decided to make him a lasagna with rice noodles and vegan mozarella and vegan ricotta made with tofu. Although this is still MUCH healthier than the traditional version, I feel still isn't healthy enough. Dad also loves dessert, so we made a desert with 1 Alternative Baking Company Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip cookie topped with So Delicious Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream and Skippy Natural Peanut Butter drizzled on top. I ate about 1/3 of it split with dad and hubby. We also made Root Beer floats with Vanilla So Delicious Ice Cream and Mug Rootbeer. And since the root beer was in the house, I had 2 additional glasses of it though out the weekend. Soda and Fries are my biggest weaknesses. I felt so horrible that night after the lasagna and root beer float. My body was not used to eating so unhealthy and it definitley showed. Another reassurance I need to cut all these things out. But now I have two things of ice cream in my house. I hate wasting food and money, but it needs to go. Maybe I will give it to my roommates. I'm sure they wouldn't complain.

Besides missing my morning Biggest Loser work outs Friday-Sunday, I did get in a lot of other work outs walking and biking. Every time Dad & I went out, we walked. I even made him bike with me to the natural foods store one day, although with him not used to the long bike ride (4 miles) he didn't want to bike back so I had hubby drive up and bike back with me so Dad could drive home. (Dad does walk a lot, but he could be more physically fit and I wish he and Mom would get to that point so they can both be healthy. It's hard to push them when I live 1100 miles away. Hoping they will move here soon.) After Dad left Sunday, Eric & I biked to the beach. He does it often but it was my first time and a LONG bike ride it was - 11.3 miles. I was tired about half way there, but once I pushed through it I did alright and it wasn't bad except for the huge hill on the bridge going over to Clearwater Beach.

I'm disappointed in my weight gain this week, espcially such a large gain. Although I made some poor choices in my diet, I did work out a decent amount without any results. I attribute some of my weight gain to an unfriendly week for the female gender, as I notice I always have a few pounds extra those weeks that seem to disappear once it is over, so I am hoping that is most of it. I also ate right befoe I worked out and then weighed in. We will find out when I weigh in next week.

Yesterday
After breakfast we went to eat in town at Kelly's. I had a Vegetarian Sandwich with cucumbers, alfalfa sprouts, tomato, avocado and onion. Healthy for me, until I got the side of Cajun fries. I was bad.

For dinner we went out for Chinese with some Ma Po Tofu and white rice. Probably had a ½ c rice with little less than 1 c Ma Po Tofu.

Then I made desert with an ABC Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie, So Delicious Chocolate Peanut Butter Ice Cream, and Skippy Natural Peanut Butter drizzled over top. In my defense, I shared it with Eric and my Dad.

Sleep
Bed last night: 11:30pm maybe? Fell asleep pretty early. Crashed face first on the bed.
Wake: 9:00am
Sleep Quality: Must've been good if I was out that long.
Feeling upon awakening: I did wake up at 7:30am pretty awake, but went back to lay in bed for whatever reason then felt kinda tired. I really gotta stop that.
Feeling through out day: Feeling tired now around 4:00pm. I think the computer makes me tired sometimes. On here editing photos but really have no motivation to do so. About to make some lasagna now for dinner.

Today
No Biggest Loser work out this morning even though I know I should have. Dad wanted me to meet him for breakfast in town, so I was kind of rushed.

Went to breakfast at Kelly's in town again. Ate healthy with a bowl of oatmeal with brown sugar, granola, and raisins on it and had a fruit bowl with all sorts of yummy fruit - strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, pineapple, plums, kiwi..... yum!

Then for lunch I had leftover Chinese from yesterday's dinner. Had Ma Po Tofu with a little bit of rice. Just a small serving (probably a cup or a little more) to hold me off for lasagna.

It's hard to figure out the calories of those kind of recipes so I couldn't enter it into my food journal.

Yesterday
Forgot to record an entry yesterday again. I've been slacking on the journals lately, but keeping up with my food diary pretty well.
I did a 25min Biggest Loser scheduled work out and 12min yoga again yesterday and that was all I got in. I planned on biking to work with my hubby, then remembered my roommate had my bike for work and I didn't want to bike there the first time alone, so I did the Biggest Loser work outs instead.

Sleep
Bed last night: 1:30am maybe? Not entirely sure.
Wake: 10:00am
Sleep Quality: Pretty good. I think I might have woke up once.
Feeling upon awakening: Still a little tired. Woke up to an alarm. I probably would've kept sleeping and not sure why.
Feeling through out day: Too early to tell.

Today
Just ate breakfast. Have to clean the house a little more before Dad gets here to visit for the weekend. Hoping to get in some yoga before he gets here, but not likely. Also need to get in a 30 min bike ride today. Off to work I go!
