I've been an overweight kid all my life. Even when I wasn't that much overweight, I was still referred to at the big kid. I once had a teacher refer to me as "pleasingly plump." (Eighth Grade, substitute, sort of, Mrs. King--not that I remember any details or anything.) When I was around 22, I went down to a size 33 jeans. Still have them in a drawer.

Needless to say, I am no longer a kid, nor a size 33. After a couple of rounds of heart problems, CAD, diabetes, and lately a stroke, I have had a change of heart. I have made some changes. I have new goals.

I will make better food choices. I also will work knowing that I am fallible. I promise not to get down and beat myself up when I fail, but to do my best to right the ship and go forward.

I will add to this list of goals and guidelines as I fully develop them. I only realized lately that I wanted to get to a destination, but that I didn't have a clear plan to get there. I will have that plan.
