I am 65, retired, and female. I want to lose at least 45 pounds. I have lost weight in the past and regained it, now weigh more than I have for years. Because of past weight loss I can't eat very much and lose and that makes it even harder. I love to eat and that makes it so hard to cut down enough to lose. I made my goal at just 180 and when I get there I will take it down another 10#'s. It just seems like an easier goal to obtain to me.
