Hi. For the first time in my life I'm uncomfortably overweight. The pandemic lockdown reduced my activity and I ate more than I usually do. So here I am. Using this app to track my calories and nutritional info to help me adhere to the Dash Diet. I like the Dash Diet for its ability to prevent Type 2 Diabetes and lower hypertension, as well as provide all the nutrition needed. I want to lose 30 pounds in 6 months and keep it off. The DASH eating plan requires no special foods and instead provides daily and weekly nutritional goals. This plan recommends:
Eating vegetables, fruits, and whole grains
Including fat-free or low-fat dairy products, fish, poultry, beans, nuts, and vegetable oils
Limiting foods that are high in saturated fat, such as fatty meats, full-fat dairy products, and tropical oils such as coconut, palm kernel, and palm oils
Limiting sugar-sweetened beverages and sweets.
