Mom to a wonderful, grown-up daughter. Web, desktop and database developer. Crafter: knitting, spinning (on spinning wheel and stationary bike), weaving (largest loom: 7foot triangle, smallest 3" square), needle felting (fey folk and hockey players), needle lace, crochet. Used to be a gymn rat until I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Left mastectomy with TRAM flap reconstruction. Gained about 30lbs. from the Tamoxifen. Then hysterectomy -- another 20lbs or so. Diagnosed with Hashimoto's Autoimmune thyroiditis -- gained another 20lbs and fast! Then constant overwhelming fatigue was diagnosed as fibromyalgia and now I'm on the road to recovery (finally, thank goodness!) It's more difficult to move about but that doesn't stop me from doing yoga, walking and stationary bike. Making almost all of my meals and most of that is produce. Starting to make my own yogurt and ice cream, sorbet. (Yes! Ice Cream! I have more control over the calories and content and it tastes better!) So far, I've lost about 15lbs. and starting to fit into smaller sizes. :)
