I sure hope anyone who finds their way to my journal, goes to my profile page and under my pic clicks on the Request to be my Buddy tab! We're all in this together folks!!! And if I can encourage you or help in any way...I am certainly willing to try!

Remember the old saying..."the best laid plans"...well, I know for me if I don't get my adventures started in the morning, I will not end up working out. My days become full of my family's needs, and I am off to the races...but not running my own race in the way of exercise!

So, I have made a commitment to myself, worked out a 'workout schedule' I think I can live with (which can be flexible if it needs to be) but I will try to meet this commitment again on a regular basis.

From strength training, to resistance work,... yoga, dance, zumba, walking, biking, gardening, stretching, cardio, it will all be fit in here there and everywhere in my weekly schedule 4x's / week. Not all in the same week. Not all at once. Just one thing or whatever... 4 x's / week.

It's what I can do. And I can do it without it being overwhelming to me.

So what can you do? Have you evaluated your commitments to yourself lately?

And I will do it first thing in the morning, 'cause that works best for me. No matter how hard I try - if I push it off to a later time, it ends up falling thru the cracks of my schedule and just doesn't get accomplished.

Well, there is some work to be done...and I have to be willing to do it. No one else is going to accomplish my goals for me...if I could have figured that out, I would have done that already ;)

Yep, Paula, wouldn't that ve cool if we could get someone else to do it for us? If so, I'd have a whip to them to lose these last 20 lbs. What a royal pain. I do love my workouts in the morning, though. They're freeing to me, my opportunity to do soimething for me. I imagine you must feel the same. Have a great day, my friend.

I keep putting off my own exercise plan so maybe we can do this in tandem?

Buffy - I took a really good look at my schedule and found a few opportunities where I could fit something in. I gave myself permission to make some short, some medium, etc... nothing is set in stone, except that I do something!!! 4x's / week. That worked for me. And my timeframes. So I think - start there. Sit w/ a pen and paper and fill in Sun - Sat what you HAVE to do! Like if you leave for work at 7am, etc. And then look for those every other day type 'holes' where you could possibly fit something in. Sat is a great day for me to use as my 4th day...as everyone sleeps in around here - except me. I am an early riser...so I will just go to the gym early that morning and get it over with! LOL! I bet if you work on this you could come up w/ something!!

I like that you mix it all up J. Lately it has been mostly the elliptical for me. But I have some Jillian Michaels, walking, Billy Blanks, Zumba that I try to work in there as well to keep me motivated.
