Struggling to get on track. I think I need to go back to lowfat and higher protein because the high fat is not filling and I am getting bored waiting for the next time to eat. Also need to walk at lunch but not motivated for that at all. I made the mistake of taking 3 days off from work and now I realize I need a vacation, but I don't want to waste it cleaning my house.
Was thinking about going to California to visit my cousins - I have 5 cousins in various parts of California so I could do a nice tour and see people I haven't seen in person in years. Could also visit one of my friends too who moved there. Except I hate to travel. The whole airline security thing just gives me anxiety.
Also figured out that I plan ahead and then don't stick to the plan so I think I will just eat first and log afterward. If I get back into the lowfat routine from 2 years ago, that should be easy, since I will have certain foods for breakfast and lunch and can coordinate dinner with what I actually ate.
So back to Plan A: 100 g protein, 100 g carbs, and 20 g fat. That is what worked for me last time. Plus 10,000 steps per day or 500 calories burned per day. 1200 calorie intake, 1700 calorie outgo. I also got my food list organized and finding the happyforks website made it easy to figure out if I buy the list how many calories will I be buying for a week's worth of food and the macros. Still tweaking it but as soon as I get it together (this week!) then I will log one serving of the "7-day shopping list" as a custom food each day and anything extra that I might buy out of the vending machine or whatever. Ok, we'll see how that goes.
It's amazing how much food I have in the fridge when I am only eating 1100-1200 calories a day!
Happy Tuesday all!

It's hard, but you can do it! You've done it before, so you know what you are doing. Sounds like you have a plan, just keep working on it.

Always best to stick to a plan you like, although it's worth trying other diets now and again just to see. I prefer to count my calories, being mindful not to have too much fat. I have two holidays booked but, like you, I hate to travel on planes. There's the security issues but also I just don't like being high up in the air. Having a couple of glasses of wine at the airport usually gets me through it 😄

I think it's great that you recognize what works for you. You will be back to losing in no time. A trip around Cali sounds awesome. I'm a terrible traveler but I love challenging myself and seeing new things. I swear if I didn't push myself once in a while I would become housebound, seriously. I plan ahead, rent a car or hotel if I need to, print out directions if necessary, check in to airline 24 hours ahead of my flight, either print a boarding pass or use airline app, make sure I have my id, wear comfy clothes and shoes, pack light and go! If you decide to do it I don't think you will regret it. Besides, "staycations" are no fun if you just clean your home. :/

I don't fly so all of my vacations are to places I can drive to. I'm in California so the northern coast is a favorite destination. And Lake Tahoe is about an hour and a half away. I think the last time I was on a plane was 1993 so I haven't flown since all the new security now in place.
