Hi everyone, I have set up an intermittent fasting schedule for the next several months. Eating 8 to 4 is really helping me with the binge eating. For some reason it is easier to not eat anything in the evening than to try to eat just a dinner without eating more later. I am sure it is purely psychological, but doesn't matter - as long as it works!
For February I am going to stick to 8 to 4 but add in weekend 36 hour fasts. That is Friday at 6 pm until Sunday at 6 am. I have done these before. They are hard but not impossible. I usually drink homemade chicken broth for these events but I am not sure if I will do that or not. It really helped get me through the Saturday because a few times I felt like I was starving.
For March I will be working from Florida for 2 weeks b/c I will be with my Dad. I will shift my eating from 8 to 4 to 12 - 8 because I want to eat lunch and dinner with him.
For April I will do 36 hour fasts on Tuesday, Thur, Sat. I did this last year. It is pretty hard.
There are a lot of people that say they get a ton of energy and feel fantastic while they are fasting. I just feel hungry. LOL Maybe if you fast more than 36 hours that kicks in. I don't know if I will ever do one of those long fasts. Not sure I need to.
Fasting is just to use up the fat stores in my liver, around my organs, etc. I want to reverse my Type 2 diabetes.
Book I get all of this out of is Guide to Intermittent Fasting by Jason Fung. Well have a happy day and HANG IN THERE AND NEVER GIVE UP!
