You’ve got it Tai-Lin!🙋🏻 Life happens! Next time figure out your portion control ahead of time on your meals out, or switch your entre to something that fits your WOE better and package up the portion that is too much before you ever start to eat your meal.🙆🏻 Ask for a togo container when your meal is served explaining that, ‘the portion is just too generous for you to eat all at once! And you want to savor every bite!’ 💁🏻♀️ Most restaurants will love the implied compliment! And you will love the smaller impact on your WOE and feeling like you can actually go out and socialise without fear of impacting your health negatively. There are places I chose to go because I can actually order a kids meal and take leftovers home from that without getting grief from the staff. Good luck 😉

All good idea from SMP! I find the restaurants are so much more understanding now then they used to be. I really use the "get the meal, half it and put it in a to go box before I start to eat" because I can't leave a plate with food on it! Tee-hee. You know you can do it! Soon it will be spring too and you'll be dropping weight while working in your garden!

Very good advice, smprowett. I will try that. Where do you go that allows you to order a child's meal? That's another good idea!

I agree, Horseshu1 ~ smprowett had some good suggestions. I actually had gained even more this morning, but i did three times the usual exercise. Eventually, the extra food and the extra exercise has to even out, don't you think? LOL And i can hardly wait for spring; i have so much to do outside then. I love the warmer weather!

LOL Panda Express has become a favorite. But you HAVE to watch carefully what you order! And you have to deal with cafeteria style ordering. But there sre about 5 or 6 entrees that aren’t breaded or covered in sugar and mixed vegetables as a side, always! I also do our Mongolian grill and get a plate of salmon only with garlic and onions to be grilled with salt water when we do sit down. And a separate bowl/plate that is just veggies so I can better control portions. No doggie bags, but I choose my own food! Big plus! Sherri’s I order breakfast mostly and order salads, and half sandwiches packing up bread to leave on the table or throw out, or I get a steak breakfast with protein and ask for two little to go boxes and carbs go in one that I freeze in small portions if I like them or toss or feed to someone else, and the rest I take home for me. My fridge, freezer and the next meal I am trying to remember are good friends! I sometimes forget I’m not a disposal and that the children in Africa that are starving aren’t staring at me from the next table with hungry eyes when I toss food away! 🤷🏻♀️😉 But I am trying so hard to learn! The freezer helps me! I know other people go to bed hungry. But I need to stop thinking that my overeating helps that in ANY WAY! LOL 🤦🏻♀️
