Rubie-sue's Journal, 09 May 12

In my quest to get back to the Much Better Me, I am going to be adding weight training to my schdule. At this point it will only be two days a week with my other days full of Zumba, Pilates, and Yoga. Now that I've said it outloud means that I actually have to it,right????

In my lunch time reading I found this article on the Live Strong website. Thought it was interesting and thought some of you might too.
So happy reading to you, and must have follow through for me!!

Stating things out loud does help. I actually managed to do my 15 minutes of exercise because I stated it. Makes the chances of actually attempting the weight training better. And anyway, with this post you have managed to declare this to yourself, which is the first step towards preparing yourself for the training. But there is one thing that you need to remember. Do ensure that each cardio and weight training day is followed by a non cardio/weight training day. That is essential for your body to repair the wear and tear. (Not that I actually do that much exercise but still :D)

Blushes! I used jargon again. I meant paragraph breaks between my sentences so that my response is more readable. And sorry for not logging earlier. I was (and still am) undergoing a too much to do and too little sleep syndrome. :|
