HUH! Anyone have a preferred type of reliable scale they can recomend? I bought a digital scale last year (put new batteries in not too long ago). Recently what happens when I get on the scale is for a brief moment it shows a loss then jumps right to the weight I was at last. It doesn't have any memory settings-just a plain old scale. I heard the old style with the springs is no good either because over time the spring stretches out and you can't get an accurate reading that way either. I sure would like to record that I lost three pounds while TOM was here, but I can't be sure I actually did!

I got mine from Wal-Mart. It is digital and has memory settings for 2 people. It records in oz as well and will tell you how much you lost (or gained) after it shows you the current reading. I love mine and only spent 25-30 on it. Definitely the best investment for myself.

I have the old, I guess spring scales. I hate them. When I weigh I usualy get on them 5-10 times and the amount that I get the most often is what I go with. It can change several times and alot of times I have to adjust it back to zero. I really wish I would have gotten some new scales when I started but I hate to change after that is what I am using. I guess I am scared that it is going to show that I weight more than my scales show and that will be frustrating. But I have been thinking about getting something more accurate.

That is too funny. Reminds me of my chair at work. Everytime I sit down or move direction the darn thing squeels so badly like I'm breaking it. They've offered to grease it but I like the reminder to watch what I'm eating.
