On Feb. 15, I went to work only to find that my executive assistant position had been eliminated; my duties divi'd up between 2 admin's, thus the company budget was cut and they are on their way to financial recovery. None of this makes any sense to me because my salary is a drop in the bucket compared to the million dollars they need to cut from the budget, but that's my lot and I have been trying to deal with it. I also find that the unemployment process is challenging, as they told me it is 4-6 weeks before payment is remitted. There are over 1 million people in Texas on unemployment, and who knows how many more out of work that do not qualify for the benefits. I have been here before but I was truly blind sided and have been through a multitude of emotions, moods and at one point, frightened about our future. As for my weight, I managed to stay at 223 lbs until recently. This morning I am 228 but I'm finally getting back to me and I'll be ok. I see I have some new buddies to accept and I am happy to meet you and glad to be back on track. God bless you all and please pray for me and bless me in my search for employment. ~Terra
