I had a terrible day today. I weighed and I was 239 again. No weight loss at all after a week of really good food compliance. I turned the ketones dark purple every day I checked and I have been having 20 carb days. I got depressed about not losing so I ate some almonds (1/2 pack), some macadamias(1/2) pack, 3 sips of diet root beer and an Atkins Cranberry Almond Bar. I didn't get my veggies in because I'm way over on my carbs and I didn't exercise. It is hard not to get discouraged after working so hard for a week to do everything as perfectly as I could. I just have to hope next week will be better. On the plus side, I only drank 3 sips of diet root beer instead of the whole bottle. Tonight I ate out and did fine and managed to avoid having a diet Coke even though I wanted one really bad. I can't believe how addicted I am to these diet drinks and I don't know why. Well aside from being a food addict I mean. Any way I hope tomorrow is a better day. Also I need to plan ahead more. I've had a few difficulties picking a meal lately when I didn't. So tonight I'm going to decide what I am going to eat tomorrow. I can't sleep now but luckily I'm not hungry or craving anything. I realize what I should have done today before I ate was asked for help dealing w/my disappointment re:not losing. That is why online support is there - to help us succeed. Anyway hopefully I'll make a better choice the next time I don't lose at all.

Maybe you could go to Boot Camp and ask Kimm if she can see what is holding you back especially with a good keto stix, I am not sure how that works.

with the dark ketostix i bet you are not getting enough water.

Thanks for all the suggestions and support. I think I am getting enough water because most days I drink 1/2 my body weight in oz of water. But thanks for the tip.

I could have written the same post. If it makes you feel any better, your not alone. Try staying away from the Atkins bars. They stall me. Any artificial sweetner does. Maybe it's the soda causing this?

Atkins bars will stall a lot of pple, plus they can increase your cravings. They do for me :) Lots of chemicals in them too! My rule is if I cannot say it, I do not eat it. If your stix are purple you are burning fat, you may not see a loss on the scale but you are burning fat. Remember a stall is not a stall until it has been one month with no weight loss.

I know we will not see a loss everyday. Last week I made some changes to my diet and began counting total carbs (not net). I lost 3 lbs in the first 3 days (1 lb each day). Saturday I was so involved with homework and laundry and without even thinking I grabbed my favorite bar. I never left ketosis but I have not lost a single pound since. I am still recovering. I had to throw those things out to prevent another mistake.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I know I need to stop being such a baby about my weight loss stalling for a week...
