I'm not able to weigh myself at home until i get a scale. I wonder if any of you out there that feels like you get sabotaged in trying to lose weight. I have a lack of support ,terrible thing to admit. I'm trying to lose weight for my health, and being active is non excusable i'm told even with a medial meniscus surgery, but gracious its hard to bend or walk well, much less to be so quick in movement. I have trouble with the Goal setting.

If you post here you will get support. You don't have to walk fast or well, just move for short amounts of time, set a goal of how many times you are going to move a day, and then increase the time. As far as sabotage do you mean food brought into your home that you don't want to eat? People here often suggest measuring yourself as a way to see success in another way other than weight loss. Take care and I wish you well.

You don't need to weigh at all to lose weight. Some people go by measurements. I just ate better to feel better, and clothes kept getting baggy, then I got new clothes and they got baggy. ---Temptation disappeared for me when I stopped eating processed carbs. The first three days were HARD but I planned three solid delicious meals/day of foods I loved eating, and soon the sugar cravings were gone, and saying no to snacks or desserts felt the same as declining a tissue or a map someone offers when you don't need one. ---Glad you're here!

To maewandaseagraves, I know all about that. I hear you. I have to make sure to have what I am going to eat for the day available, it has to be food that I enjoy, and I need to eat it. I find it fun to say "no thanks, I don't care for any,"

If what's being "pushed on you" isn't JUNK or overly UNHEALTHY for you... I would recommend eating (like) one-quarter of what's offered and turning what's left over into three more (smaller) meals. This helps me in social settings.
