Rocking right along I see! Way to keep at it. As for the pork rinds, where do you live? They could be called chicharones.

IIRC the first time I had pork rinds was on PEI, late 70s. Not what I think of as local fare, but there must be hope!

@cranky I live in Thunder Bay Ontario about 3.5 hours north of Duluth Minnesota I've checked out Walmart Shoppers and most of the grocery chains no luck but the search continues TBU9 yes I remain hopeful - as a last resort my sister gets the pig skin from the one they have slaughtered every year she said she could try and make me some lol

It has been a long time since I have seen pork rinds in stores in Ontario but, then again I am not looking for them. Maybe try the Bulk Barn.

If you ever get to the southern states... they're in EVERY convenience store... like mushrooms which pop up after a bad rain (LOL)!

There is a Brit store in Barrie, Ontario (Campbell's) that sells pork rinds and I tried them...very tasty...nice substitute for potato chips :-)

My goofy newfy pal makes scrunchions from pork fat, that's kind of close? --- Reddit has some threads a few years old with suggestions. And a few people mocking the implied social status, but baby I'm that friend in low places you sing about.
