dolldede1's Journal, 08 Mar 12

Wow...I can't believe it's been almost a year since I've logged on here. Unfortunately, I fell off the wagon. I don't think I've gained much weight but I'll weigh in later today and we'll see. I'm having some issues with my blood sugar again and that has made me really take note of what I'm eating and my lack of exercise....so....here I go again. I reread my journal entries from last year and it's really depressing that I was so enthused and doing so well and just stopped. I don't ever remember making the decision to stop...I guess I just thought I'd take a weekend off and then that was it. But, no sense crying over spilled milk. I'm just going to jump back on this horse like I've never fallen off...lol. I've started walking again some and I'm going to start back on the food and exercise diary today (it's amazing the difference that makes). I think I'm going to start by reducing my calories to 1500 per day and once I get comfortable with that I'll go down to 1200. That may be why I failed last time. I drastically reduced my calories (I was taking in about 700-900 calories a day) and I felt so deprived all the time. I hate this obsession that I have with food. I envy people that just view food as fuel for their bodies. I don't know that I'll ever feel that way. But, I'm trying to learn that everything is acceptable in moderation. That's my problem...I have no self-control when it comes to food. I'm normally a very mature person, but when we start talking about supper, I turn into a spoiled 2 year old! It's so frustrating! I'm about to go put some pinto beans on for supper now and then I'm going to go walk...nice, little stroll....nothing over the top. So...here I go again! Wish me luck!
