Actually got over 10k steps in addition to Yesterday's SWW- strength training just by taking a walk after dinner.

Nice!
There's a German guy who puts together a running monthly tally of steps. Just submitted my numbers (most well below 10k) and hoping that'll inspire me to opt for walking over bus...at least sometimes.
More vigorous exercise would improve my sleep, but I have to figure out food baseline for low activity first.

T8U9- That's what I did. I worked on the food aspect first. Because if its not 2nd nature &/ or I'm not enjoying it- I won't stick to it.
Then I did walking until it got to the point where I craved it. The appetite and moods became the most even- keel with 10k+ per day. A short walk before it gets too hot and a moderate walk after dinner gets me to 10k. I love, love, love walking at night. 😻I just walk out the front door- don't walk anywhere special.
Now I'm craving a new bump so I started strength training 10 days ago.
So yeah, if the German guy's group gets you revved up, awesome! Wonder if getting off the bus 1-2 stops early might let you ease into things?

How can you tell with the amount of calories it says you should have 1800 and how much you want to lose 50 what length of time it will take?

Cindy1018, I'm not quite sure what you are asking.
How long it takes to lose weight varies greatly from person to person because of metabolism and other factors. That said, if you pay very close attention to your diet and eat foods that satisfy you but stay at a good deficit each day and include some exercise 5 days a week to boost your metabolism- I think you can lose 50 pounds in about 9 months without any crash dieting. Some people might take a few more months- especially if their ages are 49+. I'm just making a very generalized statement if it helps. Maybe someone else can comment if there is an actual calculator for this.
