Super Bowl Sunday was a blast! The game was good, and the food was awesome. I stayed true to my plan, well, almost. We got a late start with cooking the main course, chitlins, so we had to supplement our meal, during the game, with burgers. My brother made three huge cheese burgers, one for each of us, and his wife; and yes I ate the bun, washing it down with a non-alcoholic beer. It was the best burger I've had in a long time. The rest of the meal; chitlins, collard greens, cole slaw, and skillet corn bread, were consumed during the 4th quarter of the game, along with another non-alcoholic beer. I couldn't have asked for a better Super Bowl meal. There were consequences to eating off plan, but I will recover; and started today, without missing a beat. :-)
