Multiplicity1's Journal, 06 Feb 12

It'sbeen a while since I posted. I happily lost another 3 lbs. last week. My brother and sister-in-law both lost 4 lbs. My sister lost 12 lbs. in two weeks. My husband didn't lose anything this week but he didn't gain. My friends are struggling so I bought them each books that show carbs in foods. Hopefully that will help them. I am recommitting to Atkins and even more importantly recommitting to God. I finally went to confession and mass. It was beautiful and peaceful. Today I decided to give up my beloved diet Dr. Peppers for God. Not a tiny sacrifice for me as they were my favorite thing to eat or drink. It was my consolation present when I didn't cheat. I've also been praying every day tto love God with all my heart, soul and might. Which to me partly means becoming less attached to worldly things hence the Dr. Pepper vow. I've also decided to volunteer at a charity resale store to do more for others. God is also helping me work on my slothfulness. Lots of vices to clear up here. I am a work in progress.

Sounds like you have support doing this. Makes it much easier than doing it alone. I wish you nothing but success. And congrats on steering clear of the Dt Dr Peppers as I know these have been one of your biggest vices. Much love my dear friend.

I was just browsing through the website because I haven't been very committed to becoming more healthy... Reading some of what you have to say and seeing your starting and current weight have really made me stop to think. I am so happy to see that there are normal, every-day people out there trying to commit themselves to a healthier lifestyle. You have come so far and I hope for only the best for you! I will definitely be showing stories like yours to my best friend as she has given up hope of getting the weight off. I know you can reach your goal, and I hope that stories like yours will inspire her as much as it has me!
