So yesterday was Day One on this diet. Ugh even the word "diet" is depressing... after all, it contains the word "die". Had to find something to cheer me up. Perfect time time to hit the Texas Roadhouse steakhouse for a slap-up meal! Took all my willpower to resist those mouth-watering bread rolls.... I swear I could hear them calling my name ;-)

On a positive note, the waitress was very supportive and said that when ordering the steak, just ask them not to glaze butter on it after they cook it as it's only for looks anyway. Awesome tip! Also got the veggies without butter... which actually ended up tasting better than normal. Yes indeed, a good start to the diet... At least the guilt of having a filet mignon melted away with the 5 hours spent walking through the shops. Shopping is an under-rated workout!
