The only bad thing I did this week was eat some (stale) red velvet cake.

Oddly, my weakness is the frosting, so I took a tiny side piece and all the frosting left around the edges by other folks....bad me!

However, I didn't eat any Halloween candy, and I did wait to eat the cake after I had eaten healthier choices (so I didn't go an chow down a giant piece). I'm proud of my moderation.

The funny thing was, when I checked on the cake later (it was an office birthday cake), someone else must have my same weakness...it was a naked cake! Someone had eaten off the frosting only on half of it!!

I am also finding attending school, working full time, having a toddler, and doing consulting a bit on the tough side. So I haven't been commenting on other's journals...hope to catch up during the Christmas break! I'm amazed I'm still loosing at all! My husband had a new work schedule, which is helping; he was working almost every night until late. Now he works almost the same hours as I do! We get to have dinner together and he gets to help with the baby!

November will be tough, not only because of Thanksgiving, but because we try not to buy ANYTHING up until Thanksgiving. We have a family tradition that leading up to Thanksgiving we try to clean out our pantry and freezer. We try to cook only from ingredients on hand. It an effort to try to realize how much we have to be thankful for, plus we donate anything we have left in the pantry to the food bank. After all, if we don't eat during November, we shouldn't have bought to begin with!

I’ve reached my second goal, so I’m getting my hair cut and colored next week!
