I need some advice. My mom asked me not to lose anymore weight but I feel like I need to lose another 6 lbs. I've never and don't have an eating disorder so I would love to be able to eat my daily calorie allotment. I'm 55 yrs young, 5'7, about 144, was 201 lbs 11/22/15 so yea, I look thin compared to then. I just want to fit a size 10 and I almost do but very tight. I did it losing a lb a week, now I am losing about a lb a month. Such a great problem to have! I used to look at people with under 20 lbs to lose and think "Gee, why are they here?" My bad but proof Fatsecret is a great tool and works if you put in the effort! To me, its because I was obese that I look like I'm getting too thin to her, I was a thin child. A penny for your thoughts? (I'm on a budget lol)

I hope you find a comfortable spot. I find that that 'last few pounds' makes me so ocd that there's some kind of mental block involved in attaining it. If it doesn't happen, and it feel like you're entering a feeling of futility, be objective, hold your weight at maintenance, and give it a go at a later day. I always find a period on maintenance kind of resets my system and my mind. Good luck either way.

You have to make YOU happy. That being said, don't judge your body by your dress size. You look fabulous in this picture and they usually put 10 lbs on you. You didn't mention whether or not you work out. Perhaps you can get into that size 10 by changing/tightening your body shape a little with exercise? You said you are 5'7". For a small frame you should be between 123-136 and for medium frame between 133-147. I agree with Kathleenscanlan that you should definitely NOT drop below 20% body fat for sure. It's hard to believe you are 55, so be happy with yourself and stay healthy. Good luck no matter what you decide :)

There was a time when I lost 60 pounds and my mother was the same way. Very discouraging. That was decades ago. I'm now 68 and my parents have both passed but I still remember. She bugged me constantly when I was fat, but when I got within 20 lbs of my goal she started getting upset with me for being too thin. Just be true to yourself and stay on your path. Congrats for you weight loss. Kathryn

Keep on doing what you've been doing FA, it's working...and remember this is not a race to a finish line but a new way of life. It took me a little over 4 months to lose my last 4 pounds and it is still at times a battle to keep the weight (fat) from creeping back. Nice job again, you are looking great and I bet feeling better too :-)

You look amazing! You need to feel good about you. If the size 10 is what you're looking for, then go for it, just as long as you keep healthy. Lots of Luck!
