You hit the nail on the head. I get so discouraged watching my extended family eating what ever they want with no blood sugar problems. (at least not at this time) but when I try it I get such high blood readings and as you say, I don't feel good. Thanks for your post. I know I'm not alone in this.

low carb is ALOT of work but once it becomes a lifestyle and not a diet to you, it will be alot easier. Meals will kinda just plan themselves. I struggle like Dboza watching my family eat what ever they want , but meh.. Im in it to win it and not for them, for me.. We all fall off the wagon.. just get back on and restart.. no matter how many times it takes..

My plan has been to make better food than they're eating, and it never fails because people always try to Bogart whatever I bring.

Hey, Brin! I hear ya, loud and clear. I think we are all experiencing this. I hate those that try to push the food at you ... meaning well, of course. It's hard enough saying "no" to food you really do want to eat, isn't it? Phil is right. We have to make our food look and taste better than theirs. LOL! Love it!

PS. I followed Protein Power when the book first came out .. because a lady in our office lost a ton of weight doing it. She was a total carb addict, too. I lost inches ... looked better than I looked in my life .. and I wasn't horribly overweight then. I have a long way to go to ever look like that again. GO Protein Power!

Protein Power is what I follow as well. Worked much better 10 years ago! I just feel better when I follow it even if I am not losing like I did before.
