Why are you preparing your body to learn to live in starvation mode? You already do that every night while you're asleep. If you want to fast, give up crappy food full time. After about a week you'll see
A: real results
B: what an addiction food really is.
Teaching your body to starve is what all "fad Diets" do.
Your body isn't going to say oh she's not feeding me for a day I'm going to drop 5 pounds every time that happens.
This is why diets yo yo. You teach your metabolism to horde. It's great at learning that.

I'm actually eating only when hungry. I "managed" a 17 hour fast between dinner and lunch, BECAUSE I waited until I was hungry. I'm not starving myself, it's a natural progression when on a Keto/LCHF diet. It's occurring naturally; I am NOT starving. I'm training my body to used my own body fat as fuel, instead of sugar. Keep calm and Keto on.

Periodic fasting can be part of a healthy eating plan, there health benefits to it. Good job with the 17 hours. I've often done 16:8 fasting, will probably start it up again after Christmas.

I try to make 24/32 hour fasts at least 2-3 times a month. You can build up to 24 eventually :)
