abbadabba's Journal, 02 Nov 16

Grabbed some food on my way out this morning, so I am good for the day, mostly. Homemade applesauce, homemade stuffed shells, and fruit and canned goods. I can keep myself on track.

I am 59 years old. Right now, I am on a journey to my new self. After so many years, I know that I have a new self every day, and that my next year's future lower-weight self will be even happier than I am now. Which is pretty happy.

Went on line yesterday to a body fat calculator and put in measurements and got a total of 27% body fat. Not sure how that matches up with reality, but I am happy because I have been as high as 40% body fat which is no good.

Someone asked me the other day where those next 32 pounds are going to come from. I am quite sure they will come from the fat around my heart and other organs, from fat nestled in the muscles in my limbs, and from around my middle. Might not get down another 32 though, because I am also doing strength training at a very consistent rate, and 135 with about 20% body fat would be great. So, that would be about another 23 pounds.

If you are lucky, you will wake up tomorrow. Will you be one day ahead on your journey to your best self, or will you be starting over? Because the only way to fail is to give up entirely. Good luck, every body! Happy Hump Day!

The best way to determine your true bodyfat% is using calipers - someone at a gym could do it for you.
