I decided today to finally boil the head of cabbage I bought last weekend. I had a craving per say for it. All I did was put water in a pot and put the cut-up cabbage in the water and boil it. No salt, bacon, or shortening. Just plain cabbage. When it was finished, i took one small piece to make sure it was cooked and it was good. I will drain the water off and put it in the frig to take a cup to work with me a couple of days this week. Just something different to eat with my regular menu.

I love boiled cabbage. I always have a couple of cans of spiced cabbage in the pantry for a quick < 100 calorie snack.

i read where 1 cup is about 64 calories but i couldnt find it in ounces so i just put 4oz as a serving for me. I dont know what the calorie count or nutritional info is on cooked cabbage in ounces. Can you guys help me with that?

One ounce equals 28 grams. I often log in grams when something doesn't match what I am actually eating. If something is like 3.5 ounces but the serving says 4 ounces - I switch to grams . For example 3.5 ounces is 98 grams.
