Love love love my new workouts. But my diet has been crap, crap, and more crap. Need to get my head back in the game. I've been spending a lot of time with the new boyfriend (which still feels weird to call him that...) and he's a meat and potatoes kind of guy, so I've been using him as an excuse to cook unhealthier things. So that's gotta stop. He wants to get healthier too, so he's just gonna have to suck it up and eat what I eat. Which means he is gonna eat miso soup tonight, or he can drive his ass to taco bell, lol!
All I know is that when I go home for lunch today, I'm tossing any crappy food that's still in my fridge. Leftovers be dammed.

Maybe try substituting lots of veggies instead of potatoes - meat is not a bad thing, especially when you need the protein for your workouts (I am assuming). I love my new workouts too!

potatoes are not an enemy if eaten with serving sizes

No, I agree that meat and potatoes aren't a bad thing.... but can be, when all you eat is super fatty cuts of beef and buttered mashed potatoes. Definitely doesn't fit within my WOE, lol!

HI there! So glad you are here today. Is this the guy you met at the bike shop? Or was he the clingy dude? Who is the new guy? Yay! And are you doing new workouts besides cycling? It must be colder up there by now...
|
Not bike shop dude or clingy dude, lol! I picked this one up along the highway! We actually had a date a few days later (hadn't met in person yet) and I was gonna cancel on him, but then passed someone that looked like him on the highway, gave him a call, turned out to be him, grabbed lunch, and hit it off. So I've been seeing him about 2 months now.

For workouts, I quit my previous gym and joined a crossfit place near me. Much more intense workouts! And I don't get to do much cycling now, especially since it's pretty chilly out. Think our first frost warning is for tonight!

Getting the "bad" food out of the house is an excellent start! If it's there it calls to you!

@notelaine, yes I remember that "chance" encounter. I thought "must be fate"!!!

I know that not having 'bad' food in the house saved me from an eating disaster during the hurricane! It really helps that when those moments of weakness hit, the only choices are good ones. LOL!

Cool - glad you like him. Crossfit is good stuff. Once I started lifting heavy stuff, I changed my metabolism with the additional muscle tissue
