ALMOND & DATE BALLS
INGREDIENTS
Ingredients for 10-12 balls:
150 g (5.3 oz) of almonds, roughly chopped
170 g (6 oz) dried dates, chopped
1 teaspoon of cocoa powder
Shredded coconut or cocoa powder for coating
Combine all the almonds, figs and cocoa powder in a food processor. Pulse on high speed until everything comes together in one sticky mass. Keep in mind that the almonds have to be finely chopped.
Remove contents from the food processor and roll into 1 inch (2.5cm) balls.
Cover the balls in some shredded coconut or cocoa powder. Store it in a container with a lid and let it cool down in the fridge.
CHOCOLATE, BANANA, AVOCADO SMOOTHIE
INGREDIENTS
Ingredients for 1 serving:
½ ripe avocado
½ ripe banana
1-2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
5-6 tablespoons coconut milk (or regular milk)
Toss the avocado, banana, coconut milk and cocoa powder into a blender or a food processor and blend it out until smooth.
Add or reduce the amount of coconut milk if you want a more runny or a more thick consistency. If the consistency is more thick, you can eat it with a spoon, but if it's more runny, you can drink it.
