I like that. That's a fast day for me so checking your number will be my Thursday motivation! No pressure Ches. Relax. Enjoy one of those delicious beers in your fridge. Ooh it's hot outside! Have a great week.

I love 52C. It's 96 now with a feel like 103. I AM THIRSTY!

Smaller portions, a bit of IF, it will all be Ok. Just keep an eye on it, and don't indulge too much. You got this, Cowboy!

I'm seriously considering switching to 5:2, 52C, how do you think that would work for me as a maintenance strategy?

It will be okay. Sometimes its good to splurge a little, but not too much. Try just dropping the pizza and chinese food but having a little ice cream to satisfy that sweet tooth. Then the next week try to go without anything and see how it goes!

I'd say try it for a week or two Phil as long as your "5" is a good number for you. I just dropped down to 2000 for my "5" a week ago. I've dropped my weight with it being 2400, but now I feel satisfied with less so I adjusted it downward. You can easily add a day or drop to 6:1 if it works well. The best thing about it for me is the absence of diet anxiety for a full 7 days at a time. Peace is good.

WHAT? ONLY 1.2 lbs down? Just joshin' ya! You just keep chugging down that weight loss track. @Philmck, I personally think 5:2 (or 6:1) is perfect for maintenance and what I plan to do when I get to that point. The best part about 5:2 (y'know I did it for awhile) is the "forbidden fruit" aspect of eating tends to vanish so it becomes natural to consume normal portions. No "got to get back on the diet so I better get all I can now" notions driving your eating.

I agree Watermelon04. My progress has been made while still indulging from time to time. Part of me wanted to see if it could be done with minimal sacrifice. So far so good. You've hit on something though, I do feel like I've got another gear I haven't used yet. Thanks.

MsK, how bout this cowboy thing? I love that there's seemingly no end to cowboy cliches in our culture. Isn't the cyber-self component of this site interesting? I think there's a little discussed factor in this grand formula that has added to my success and I'm sure others agree. We all can be ourselves, or course, but to what degree are we recreating ourselves into our own thinner image through role play and fantasy? I delayed putting my photo up, I think, because it looked just like me. Now there's a wisp of truth that I just found tucked in my hatband. Now how'd that get there?

52C, why do you think I don't log my weekends? I am living and enjoying my journey like you.

That li'l wisp of truth must have been hiding behind the Ace you had tucked in there from the poker game last night, Cowboy. ;)
I guess I'm a little strange on here, in that I gave up caring what other people think a while back. Sure, it's nice to be liked, and encouragement is a powerful motivator. I just want to be able to fit into clothes that don't bunch up between my thighs when I walk, or slide up (or down) my belly when I sit. Mostly, I want to feel as good as I can as I become a Golden Girl LOL!
My cyber self is remarkably like my real self. I'm a devout Popeye-ist. I yam what I yam, and that's all what I yam! Warts, broom and all.

Hey Ches. You're awesome. Did you notice how the green stripe almost matches my t-shirt? Total coincidence.
