Its that time again. It is disheartening, gaining 5-10lb every month. I know it is mostly water, and that I'll lose 'most' if not all the weight, but it does feel like a step backward.
I use this time to have treats. I have journaled my exercise and my weight over enough of these 'month end' gains to realize that I can treat myself moderately at this time. In fact, I wonder if it isn't a good idea.
My body normally burns the extra I eat - so maybe the craving means that it needs this extra to complete the process and stay health. The same way you can binge on carbs when in the first stages of the flu (within reason) and not gain weight.
No matter what diet you are on, you must take care of your body. You must remain healthy.
