** I haven't posted in my journal for several days due to one rude @sshole making an unkind response last week. I don't seek confrontation, but am not afraid to handle it so it's weird that this has led to some hesitation to post. Whatever. Moving on.
I've been stuck at the exact same weight for three days despite being on down days and eating super low carb. Theoretically, I should drop the water weight I gained from an up day within no more than three days so I'm not sure what's going on. My fibromyalgia is flared up so maybe that has something to do with it. I had also started using flavored packets in my water. It could be the artificial sweeteners are messing with me. I know they stall many people. They could also be part of the trigger for my fibro. I've been really active the last couple weeks too tho and that can act as a trigger. At any rate, I'm ditching the flavor packets and chugging plain water and will see what tomorrow brings.
So far, this metabolic tune up isn't working as promised. I'm switching insurance in July. Ditching worthless Kaiser and going with United. I'm shopping for a new doctor who can hopefully help me figure out what's going on hormonally. The trick is to find one with knowledge and experience in both weight loss and women's hormones. If someone comes at me with the old calories in, calories out rhetoric I'm going to scream. My goal this summer is to simply maintain my current weight within five pounds. I've gained 20 in the last year while dieting/low carbing. Something isn't right.

Rusty, Im not going to drop CICO on you. Just join my challenge, if your up to it. SO far we have 17 participating. Including myself. Give it a shot.
|
What's CICO??? And what's the name of your challenge? Contrary to popular belief, I'm not a man, but a middle aged woman, so I'd need to make sure it's something I could manage physically.

CICO is calories in, calories out. And the Challenge is called IF Beast Mode. Want me to shoot you an invite? You can decline if you don't like the idea. There is absolutely nothing physical about it. You simply eat 1 meal per day. At or Below your maintenance calories. I myself try to eat 2000 calories in a single meal. Then no more food for 23 hours. I drink Water and coffee the rest of the day. There are a few women just like yourself doing it.

Yes, I would love an invite. Thanks for including me.

Ah, I found it, but it won't let me join because it's already started. Doesn't mean I can't participate outside of the official challenge though. It's an intriguing idea.

DANG. But like you said, its easy to follow and report outside the challenge. It isn't a hard challenge to follow for people with self control. Just eat 1 meal a day. lol.
|
Yeah, I'll give it a try. I do better with an all or nothing approach so might do ok with this.
