I think I may have one of the best jobs ever. I work at a state park and get to use the park in my own time. I enjoy walking the beautiful trails during my lunch and getting a jog in after work. The snakes are becoming more active so I find myself jumping/leaping over many of them while on the trail. Maybe I should start carrying a snake bit kit in case of emergencies? Not like many are around and I'm usually at least 2 miles away from anyone, not to mention another 20 min drive to the closest ER. :) Gotta love living/working in the sticks.
I will also take advantage of the other state parks when I travel. I get in free and can use the trails as a fun activity that keeps me moving and out of the restaurants. I've begun searching for other parks and trails in the area just to keep it interesting and new.
I think it's good for the soul to be outside in nature. There is a mystical healing effect that it has on our body and mind. Life's better outside! :)
