Okay, I'm sure many people will disagree with me, but I find the Biggest Loser inspiring and reminds me why I'm working to be healthier!

I know the pounds per week on the show isn't realistic, but it reminds me that I can lose 2 pounds per week, it's going to take effort and focus.

I can do this!

Me too! I refused to watch it the first season because I thought they were going to make a joke out of fat people. I think I've seen every episode since then. I understand it isn't realistic in a weekly setting, and I know now that it is pre-recorded and their weeks don't always reflect 7 days either. This season looks great so far. I totally want Dolvett as a trainer! ;)

yeah.. I have not watched much of it.. but as long as you KNOW the reality of it all and keep those things in mind it is probably ok. Like this is not reality.. it is a reality show and in truth could not be further from reality.. Those people are doing drastic things to change their bodies drasticly. If it speaks to you and lights your fire then go with it. SO long as you dont judge your results by theirs.. I think that is why alot of people get worked up about it. They feel let down because they dont have the same "overnight" results. It is like the air brushed model. What is presented is not always reality.

I don't watch it because I don't like Bob or Jillian or how they go about making people lose weight, and how it gives most people a false sense of what weight loss is really like BUT I do know that for a lot of those people it is a last resort or it feels like it to them. But like me and any reality TV show... we don't mesh lol I think if it is what helps motivate you awesome!

I think that the thing I do like about it is that sometimes this journey seems hopeless - then you see the people on the show and I figure if they can do it I can do it!!! I realize that I can't burn 6000 calories per day but I can do something and all those little somethings add up!! Sometimes we just need a kick start!!

I agree, I think if they can do it, I can do it too! Although, I realize to lose 4 pounds it will take me 2 weeks, but I also have a job, hubby and other things to take care of, so it's what is realistic for me!
